AMFA National is accepting nominations from Legacy Hawaiian members to fill three (3) positions on the Hawaiian Seniority Integration Committee (SIC) and as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) Negotiations. Two (2) positions will be filled from the Technician classifications and one (1) position from Cleaner/Utility classifications.

AMFA would like to formally welcome the Hawaiian Airlines membership to the AMFA family at Alaska Airlines. The NMB Union Representation election was a test of our solidarity, commitment to our craft and a bold statement to the aviation maintenance and related craft and class industry. Now that the representation election is over, the work begins on joining the two work groups at Alaska & Hawaiian Airlines.

The National Mediation Board (NMB), Union Representation Election ballots were tallied on February 24, 2026. We expect the NMB to certify the election/results by end of day February 25, 2026.
- February 17, 2026 NMB Election Reminder: Ballots Due February 24 – Tally at 10:00 AM EST - Click To View
Original ballots were due at the NMB on February 12, 2026. The voting period closes on February 24, 2026, and all replacement ballots must be received by the NMB no later than 10:00 AM EST that day. Ballot counting will begin at 10:00 AM EST on February 24, with AMFA representation present. Results are expected the same day, followed by membership updates.

Due to a government shutdown (Feb 2–3, 2026) and severe winter weather delaying NMB operations in Washington, D.C., the ballot tally originally set for February 12, 2026, has been rescheduled to February 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST.

The NMB-Union Representation Election deadline for a replacement ballot is less than 1 month away. The NMB will not accept ANY requests for new ballots after February 5, 2026. AMFA recommends that members send new ballot requests, no later than January 29, 2026.
