AMFA – SWA Inspection Backfill Award Distribution

Referendum Notice

The AMFA – Southwest Airlines Airline Representatives have requested a system-wide

referendum of the Inspectors and Alternate Inspectors regarding two separate distribution

methods for the Inspection Backfill Award:

Option 1: Distribution of the total settlement amount divided equally amongst all eligible

Inspectors and Alternates.

Option 2: Distribution of the total settlement amount based upon the number of days each

eligible candidate occupied an affected position during the remedy calculation

period, which for purposes of computation was July 12, 2012 until April 1, 2014.

AMFA National is facilitating this referendum on behalf of the affected Locals.

This secret ballot referendum is being conducted by mail, and all active members in good

standing employed by Southwest Airlines under the Inspector or Alternate Inspector

classifications are eligible to vote in this referendum. Note: Any member whose membership

dues, fees, and/or assessment obligations have not been paid in full is a member in bad standing,

and therefore, their vote will be cancelled in this referendum. Members are strongly urged to

resolve any arrearage prior to this referendum being tallied.

Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters at the address on record with AMFA National by

September 18, 2014. Any eligible member who has not received a ballot package by September

25, 2014, or any member who spoils a ballot, may request a new ballot by contacting the

Elections Administrator at 720-744-6629 no later than September 30, 2014. If you request

another ballot, only the replacement ballot will be counted.

Mail your ballot in the pre-addressed stamped envelope in sufficient time for it to be received by

the post office box by 10:00 AM ET on October 9, 2014, the day of the ballot tally. The results

will be announced following the ballot tally.
