Yesterday, July 24, 2025, marked a heartfelt milestone at our General Membership Meeting in Anchorage, Alaska, for AMFA Local 32, representing Alaska Airlines AMTs. In a formal ceremony surrounded by their fellow mechanics, the LEC proudly presented retirement gifts to five exemplary union brothers who have dedicated their careers to our craft: Jeffrey Bousquet, Mark James, George Ante, Wayne Baxter, and Randy Ahrens.
These retirees have collectively contributed decades of unwavering service—through thick and thin, navigating challenges, upholding safety standards, and strengthening our union's foundation. Their expertise and solidarity have not only inspired our current members but also lit the path for future generations, unifying us as we forge ahead in protecting and advancing our collective craft.
Big congratulations to Jeffrey, Mark, George, Wayne, and Randy! Your legacies will continue to uplift us all. We wish you endless adventures, relaxation, and joy in retirement—you've earned it!
To our fellow mechanics system-wide in Local 32, and across AMFA Locals 4, 11, 14, 18, and the newly formed 605, as well as AMFA National: Let's stay united and look forward to more gatherings that strengthen our bond. Union strong, forever united!
