On December 4, 2008, Southwest Airlines and AMFA are proud to announce that the parties have reached a Tentative Agreement with a four year term.
The current Collective Bargaining Agreement became amendable on August 16, 2008.The Agreement emphasizes both parties commitment to Safety.The Agreement includes provisions for industry leading compensation, productivity, and gained efficiencies.The Agreement includes additional job security protections.The parties negotiated a very limited opportunity for Southwest Airlines to seek an international outsourcing maintenance provider if the need arises.In the upcoming weeks, the AMFA membership will be given the full details of the Agreement and will have the opportunity to vote on ratification.Both parties have negotiated this Tentative Agreement for the benefit of Southwest Airlines Employees ensuring the preservation of our unique Culture
