National Officer Election

National Officer Election to fill the following positions: National Director, Assistant National
Director, National Secretary, National Treasurer, Safety and Standards Director, Region
Directors (Regions I, II, and III), Region Airline Technical Division (ATD) Coordinators (Region
I, II, and III), Industrial Safety Coordinator, and Maintenance Standards Coordinator.

2008 APPEARANCE REPRESENTATIVE

Nominations are being accepted for the Appearance Technician Negotiation Representative.
The term of office will continue for the duration of the upcoming Appearance Technicians
contract negotiations until date of signing of the collective bargaining agreement as noted in
the AMFA Constitution Article XXIII, Section 3, B) 2).

Local 32 LEC is proud to present supplemental insurance programs provided by Colonial Life. Colonial Supplemental Insurance representatives presented a program at the March 4, 2008 LEC Meeting. After the presentation the LEC unanimously voted to forward this offer to the members of Local 32.

SAFER ALERT ESCAPE SLIDE

In January a SAFER ALERT was released in regards to properly pinning escape slides.
At one time or another you, like I have removed an escape slide and carried it down the stairs un-pinned. The vendor has tested (blown) an un-pinned slide in its shipping case and it blew the case apart. Imagine what it could do if it blew while you carried it on your shoulder.
