AMFA has recently seen two individuals step down from the SWA Accident Investigation Team, and is currently seeking to fill these positions. We are seeking one individual well versed in avionics and one well versed in structures. Please note that as a member of this team every member is required to sign a four year commitment minimum, due to training costs. Also in the event of a major accident, members that are party to an NTSB investigation may be required to remain on scene for a few days or up to several weeks or months. There is an interview process involved to acquire the best candidates if you are interested in applying. Please evaluate your availability and your ability to participate. Also your commitment to the team is important as these accidents don’t always happen at the most opportune times and there are requirements that you need to comply with to participate.
Enclosed is an application for interviews. We will close the acceptation of applications on February 29th, 2016. We will then conduct interviews per policy and announce the chosen individuals by March 31st 2016. Please give applications to your Local Safety and Standards Chairman, or send via email to: David.Brooks@amfanatl.org.
